Policies and best practices
Clear guardrails and operating habits that keep your Closku integration running smoothly: service scope, support terms, data protection, and practical recommendations.
Service scope
Knowing what is and is not included in your Closku subscription helps avoid surprises:
| Included | Not included |
|---|---|
| Widget deployment and maintenance | Custom feature development for single merchants |
| Standard onboarding and support | Support for unsupported categories (shoes, jewelry) |
| Regular platform updates and security patches | Website redesign or major third-party integrations |
| Resource library access | Custom SLAs outside Enterprise agreements |
Service level agreement (SLA)
Closku guarantees 99.9 percent platform uptime, measured on a monthly basis. If unplanned downtime occurs, service credits or billing extensions are provided for verified outages. Enterprise clients have custom SLAs with defined penalties, and all maintenance windows are communicated at least 48 hours in advance so you can plan accordingly.
Data protection
Merchant data security is a core operational requirement. All data is encrypted at rest using AES-256 and in transit using TLS 1.3. Merchant data is backed up daily with point-in-time recovery, and strict internal access policies with audit logging limit access to authorized personnel only. Data is retained per your subscription terms, and export is available on request.
Best practices for success
Merchants who get the most from Closku tend to follow a few key habits. They keep product images fresh by reviewing and updating product photography quarterly, since high-resolution, well-lit images produce the best rendering results. They monitor usage trends through the merchant portal dashboard weekly to track try-on volume and identify traffic patterns before hitting the limit. Assigning a single catalog owner responsible for product data accuracy prevents drift and inconsistency over time. Reviewing conversion and engagement data helps identify which products benefit most from try-on so you can adjust your merchandising accordingly. And staying updated with Closku release notes keeps you aware of new features, supported categories, and performance improvements as they ship.
Upgrade and migration policy
Moving between tiers is designed to be seamless. Upgrades take effect immediately and your try-on limit resets to the new tier cap, while downgrades take effect at the start of the next billing cycle. Note that annual subscribers who downgrade forfeit the remaining discount on the difference. Contact support or your account manager to process plan changes.
