A WooCommerce shopper lands on a product page from search or email, scrolls past the gallery, opens the size dropdown, and still can’t tell whether the cut will sit right on their shoulders or where the hem will land. The model in the photo looks great. The model isn’t them. That gap is where apparel stores lose the sale quietly — or win a return later.
Closku puts try-on on the product page so shoppers upload one full-body photo and see the actual garment on their own body before they pay. Same CSV-plus-script setup we use on Shopify, BigCommerce, and custom storefronts — built for merchants who want try-on live without waiting on a marketplace app listing.
This page is the WooCommerce-specific path: how to export your catalog honestly, what Closku does on the PDP, and the limits we won’t sugarcoat.
Why WooCommerce apparel PDPs stall
WooCommerce stores already do the hard part: traffic, product photography, checkout. Decision time is where it gets thin. Size charts assume perfect self-measurement. Gallery images show someone else’s proportions. Reviews disagree. The shopper guesses — or leaves.
Returns show up in your reports as wrong size and “not as pictured.” The quieter loss is the shopper who liked the piece, opened the page twice, and closed the tab the second time they started doing fit math in their head. Try-on doesn’t replace your theme or your checkout; it answers “how does this look on me?” right where they’re already deciding.
More on the returns angle: Cut clothing returns with virtual try-on. Size from the same photo lives on AI size recommendation.
How try-on shows up on a WooCommerce product page
Closku adds a try-on entry point on the PDP. The shopper uploads a full-body photo and gets a render of that SKU on their body — not a stock model in a demo outfit. If it looks right, checkout feels less like a gamble. If it doesn’t, they find out before you pay for outbound shipping and a return label.
Size recommendation uses that same photo against garments in your Closku catalog, so “how does it look?” and “which size?” stop being two separate guesses. Jackets and dresses need different fit reads; one campaign photo rarely answers both for every body that lands on the page.
Setup: WooCommerce CSV + one script
There’s no WooCommerce marketplace app to install from us — and no App Store review queue. You export products, import into Closku, and paste one script so “Try It On” appears on your product pages.
- Export products from WooCommerce. Use the built-in product CSV export (WooCommerce → Products → Export) or your usual export tool — whatever already produces a product CSV with names, SKUs, and image URLs your team trusts.
- Import that file into Closku. We map names, SKUs, and images into your catalog.
- Paste one script into your theme (child theme or custom template) so try-on renders on the PDPs you choose.
Most merchants start with a slice of the catalog — bestsellers, high-return SKUs, or a single category — then widen once the loop feels right on a live page. Day-to-day detail is in the docs.
When your catalog changes, you re-import. That’s the trade for skipping live sync, and it’s the same whether you’re on WooCommerce today or add another storefront later.
Honest limits
Closku isn’t a WooCommerce plugin in the directory sense, and there’s no live store sync yet. You bring products in through CSV and place the script yourself. When inventory, variants, or images change, you export and re-import — real ops time, stated plainly so nobody is surprised after launch.
We also won’t invent return-rate percentages or marketplace rankings to sell this. What try-on does on the page is simple: let shoppers see the garment on themselves before they pay. What that does to your numbers depends on your catalog, traffic, and how shoppers use it.
If your team won’t touch theme files without a one-click plugin install and automatic catalog sync, this isn’t the right fit yet. If you can export a product CSV and paste a script, it’s ready now.
Pricing and next step
Starter is $49 a month for 145 try-ons; unused try-ons don’t roll over to the next month. Growth, Scale, and Enterprise raise volume when traffic climbs. Full breakdown on pricing.
